Welcome...again.
I can't decide on the blogging thing. I pulled the first blog because....well, nevermind. Anyway, I started another blog on my website, www.sparkylentertainment.com, and mistakenly deleted it while trying to re-vamp the site. I never really kept up with the blog and was a bit relieved when it disappeared. Then, I started writing for this online newsletter and thought that....perhaps I should include the articles I write on my own site.
Recently, I attended a small business owner workshop and the dude said , "People want to know what you are about...even more than what you sell." My face kinda scrunched up and I heard my inside voice say, "Why?" I've always believed that mystique is so underrated and that my work should speak for itself. The problem is...no one is seeing my work. (* insert sound effect - "womp, womp, womp, wommmp) So...I suppose there is truth to the dude's statement and it's important to take heed to those who know more than I do about business ownership. Part of letting people know what SparKyL Entertainment, Inc. is about and what I'm about as a writer|director|producer can be shared through a blog....
I'm currently directing a show entitled, Is My Name On the Book? As a director and as a director of someone else's show...., this project has been one of the biggest challenges and/or nuisances I've experienced, thus far, as a director. And to be honest, I'm beginning to see how I have been part of the problem. Me? Yes, ma'am. Yes, sir. Muah.... Go figure! I won't get into all the details now, but I will...in another blog post.
